Cape Kidnappers

We had the best time at Cape Kidnappers today.  Everyone had a wonderful adventure.  We loved sitting on the trailers behind the tractor, going into the sea and going over rocks.  Walking up to the gannets was hard work, but once we got there, we saw lots of beautiful gannets nesting.  They are huge birds :-)  Team Toru will never forget this exciting adventure!

Fun Times at the A&P Show

Today all of the Junior Team went to the A&P Show for the day.  We all arrived on the bus with our wonderful whanau helpers.  
Team Toru saw and experienced some awesome things, including...

• riding on a carriage driven by a tractor
• seeing Ronald McDonald and BJ the Bear in action
• touching and seeing all sorts of creatures and animals
• sitting on tractors of all sizes and seeing off road racing cars

Our Trip to Hastings Town

Today all of Team One went in buses to the Hastings Library and to also complete an eye-spy around Hastings town.  We had an amazing time using the clues to find key things in our town...  we walked a lot!  When we went to the library, we were read two really funny stories.  We then moved outside and were told about the wonderful installation Nga Pou O Heretaunga.

Te Mata Peak Trip

We had an amazing day at Te Mata Peak today!  All of Team One headed off to Havelock North in the bus and tramped into the Redwoods.  We went on a Scavenger Hunt, had lunch and played, before heading back out to the bus.  Team Toru had a wonderful time!
A very special thank you to all of our fabulous Mums, Dads, Nannys and Sisters who came along and helped us today.  Team Toru think you are stars!!!

Our Awesome Day!

Team Toru had an awesome day today... we started our morning off by making apple crumble with some help from our wonderful parent helpers. Each one of us got to peel an apple, before they were sliced and cooked. At ten thirty we got on a bus and headed to Pernel Orchard. We had an amazing visit... check out our slideshow below. When we got back to school we enjoyed eating our apple crumble with some icecream. What a fabulous day for the Junior Team!
