Ako Time on Friday

We had our second AKO Time on Friday.  Piki Pod, Team Tahi, Rua, Toru and Wha all got together to do some great learning.  This is a very special time where we can work with and alongside, other tamariki from Year 0-2 classrooms.  Lots of discussion, discovering and creating takes place.  Here are some photos of Team Toru kids having fun!  You can also visit the Ako Blog to see other photos from the morning :-)

Ako Time - Week 1 Term 4

We had Ako time today.  There were lots of favourites and some new and exciting activities to challenge our thinking :-)  Here are a few photos showing the learning we could do today...

Today was an exciting Ako Time.  We had a few new activities including bubbles, as well as sheets and pegs which were used to create huts...

AKO Time in Team Tahi, Rua, Toru and Wha

We had Ako time this afternoon.  It was the first time the new Team Rua were involved.  Team Toru made sure that they showed the Mahora Values of responsibility and connectedness today and helped the new tamariki.  Here are some photos of our experiences :-)

We had great fun at Ako Time today...
Some us got busy with a hammer and nails, others did dinosaur painting or puppets, still others were busy creating art, stichery, paper people...
Lots of children were involved in building, dressing-up and moving to music...

Ako Time

On Tuesday we had Ako time in the afternoon.  There were lots of awesome things to do... Mrs McEntee had stitchery and painting in her room, there were paper dolls, dressing up and moving to music in Team Toru, and lots of constructing and creating in Team Tahi and Team Rua... not to mention a mini-classroom!

Ako Time

On Tuesday afternoon Team Toru, along with Team Tahi, Team Rua and Team Wha, had Ako time.  This is a special time where we get to work alongside all of the children across the four classes, choosing our own activities.  We have the opportunity to create, discover, invent, co-operate, share, move... just to name a few skills!  Very exciting for our tamariki.  Check out some of our photos from the afternoon :-)
