Room 3 has iPads!!!

Monday was a very exciting day for Room 3! Miss Kittow brought in 10 iPads for Room 3 and we spent most of the day getting to know how to use them!!

Thomas: 
On the weekend my friend Estela we jumped on the trampoline and Estela gave me ten bucks. And we had some chippies and then we jumped a bit more on the trampoline and then it was time for Estela to go home.

Arnold: 
 In the weekend I went to park and McDonalds. I went to my Dads. I went to Cornwall Park.

Hannah: 
In the weekend I played with my sister Amy. I like playing with my sister and I like it.

Finn: 
On the weekend I am playing on my computer and I am playing Castle Storm and it is cool.

Paije:
In the weekend I played cat Smoochy. She is a girl.

Lucian: 
I went to the movies. I went to the dinosaur movie.

Carlin:
I played with my dinosaurs.

Niwhai: 
In the weekend I went to my Nans.

A Day in Room 3

Hiwi the Kiwi

Today we had a visit from the Minstrel. He told us all about keeping safe at sea when we are fishing!
He was really funny and we loved listening to all his songs!

Week 7!

What an exciting week we had last week. On Friday night we had our school disco. The theme was BRIGHT COLOURS!! We had lots of fun dressing up in bright colours and some of us even spray painted our hair!! Room 3 had lots of time dancing and seeing our friends. Mr Pearse was even wearing a funny clown wig! Take a look at some of our photos from the disco.

We have had lots of new friends join our class lately! Welcome to Lucian, Matthew, Carlin and Hannah. We are so glad you have joined our class :)

Today in Room 3 we have learnt....

In Room 3 today we have learnt LOTS!!

 We have learnt:
 - the 'ch' sound in phonics.
 - we wrote about what we did in the weekend. We wrote some AMAZING stories.
 - how our letters sit on the line in handwriting.
 - how to predict (guess) what might happen in a story.
 - about wheels.

Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2!!

I hope you have all had a fabulous holiday break and are ready for an exciting term ahead!

Welcome to Maia and Thomas who are new to Room 3 this term. We all hope you have had a great first day at school! This term we are learning all about Road Safety and there is a road through the middle of our classroom!

Teddy Bear Words

Room 3 have been doing some SUPER reading this year. Congratulations to all of Room 3 pupils that have learnt all their Teddy Bear Words and have been presented with a certificate in Assembly.

Way to go: Ryan Tough, Raela, Hine, Kimberly-Ann, Kaleece and Hawaiki.

Week 11

What a great start we have had to Week 11. Today Kadin brought along a GIANT pumpkin that he had entered in a pumpkin competition. Kadin won a prize for "Best Dressed Pumpkin". Well done Kadin. We all loved listening to you sharing about the competition.

We have two new children in Room 3. Welcome to Nathan and Talan. We hope you have loved your start to Mahora School. We are excited to have you in our class.

This week we are going on a trip to Cornwall Park on Wednesday. We will also visit the Dental Clinic and Mahora Street Kindergarten. On Thursday, we have a show coming to Mahora School called "Little Kowhai Tree".  There are lots of exciting things happening in our class this week!

Easter Fun!

We have had a very exciting start to our day today! Look at our neat Easter Art. We will be bringing home special goodies for Easter, we hope our families are excited!!
