Remembering ANZAC Day

Today Team Toru learnt some more about ANZAC day and what it means to us as New Zealanders.
We listened to some special ANZAC songs, read an ANZAC poem, wrote a story about our learning, chomped through an ANZAC biscuit and created a poppy for a special wreath to put up in our classroom.
The seniors set up a remembrance area outside with crosses representing soldiers who have died in the war.  There were 30 crosses altogether.

  1. What a fantastic idea to remember the soldiers that have fallen. Sascha was eager to show me and explain the purpose of these white crosses. great learning.
